दुनिया के तीसरे सबसे ऊंचे पर्वत कंचनजंगा पर शिखर चढ़ाई करने के दौरान एक भारतीय पर्वतारोही की मौत हो गई, पर्वतारोहण अभियान के आयोजक की तरफ से यह जानकारी दी गई।
मार्च में शुरू हुए मौजूदा चढ़ाई के मौसम के दौरान नेपाल हिमालय पर मौत की यह तीसरी खबर है।
अभियान का आयोजन करने वाली हाइकिंग कंपनी के एक अधिकारी निवेश कार्की ने कहा कि 52 वर्षीय नारायणन अय्यर की गुरुवार को 8,586 मीटर (28,169 फीट) की चोटी पर पहुंचने की कोशिश के दौरान समुद्र तल से लगभग 8,200 मीटर (26,900 फीट) की ऊंचाई पर मौत हो गई। महाराष्ट्र के रहने वाले नारायणन अय्यर की भारत-नेपाल सीमा पर स्थित दुनिया की तीसरी सबसे ऊंची पर्वत चोटी पर चढ़ाई के दौरान मौत हो गई।
गाइड ने वापस लौटने की दी थी सलाह
कार्की ने मौत की पुष्टि करते हुए कहा, ‘अय्यर के गाइड ने उन्हें अस्वस्थ महसूस होने के बाद वापस लौटने की सलाह दी, लेकिन उन्होंने मना कर दिया।’यह इस मौसम में कंचनजंगा पर्वत पर किसी पर्वतारोही की जान जाने का यह पहला मामला है।
