इस गाने की रिकॉर्डिंग का किस्सा
साल 1976 में ऋषि कपूर, शशि कपूर, नीतू सिंह और राखी गुलजार स्टारर फिल्म दूसरा आदमी के गानों की तैयारी की जा रही थी। फिल्म का निर्देशन डायरेक्टर रमेश तलवार ने किया, जबकि इसके निर्माता यश चोपड़ा थे। दूसरा आदमी के संगीतकार की जिम्मेदार राजेश रोशन को मिली हुई थी। मूवी में एक गाना था, जिसे किशोर कुमार और लता मंगेशकर को गाना था। उसके बोल थे- चल कहीं दूर निकल…(Chal Kahin Door Nikal)।
इस सॉन्ग में एक फ्लैशबैक सीन्स को दर्शाया जाना था, जिसके लिए एक मेल सिंगर की आवाज की जरूरत थी। राजेश रोशन और किशोर दा ये चाहते थे कि वह आवाज मोहम्मद रफी (Mohammed Rafi) की होनी चाहिए। लेकिन यश चोपड़ा का मानना था कि इतने छोटे से अंतरे के लिए क्यों रफी साहब को परेशान किया जाए।
राजेश रोशन नहीं माने और मोहम्मद रफी इस गाने को अपनी आवाज देने के लिए रिकॉर्डिंग स्टूडियो बुला लिया। लता मंगेशकर (Lata Mangeshkar), किशोर कुमार और मोहम्मद रफी जैसी तीनों दिग्गज गायकों की रुहानी आवाज स्टूडियो में गूंजने लगी। रिकॉर्डिंग शानदार रही और हर कोई तालियां बजाने लगा। यश चोपड़ा ने उसी दौरान तीनों सिंगर्स को सम्मानित करने का एलान किया और फूलों के गुलदस्ते मंगवाए।
यश चोपड़ा ने की थी घटिया हरकत
इसके बाद यश चोपड़ा ने लता मंगेशकर को सबसे पहले फूलों को गुलदस्ता दिया। बीच में मोहम्मद रफी खड़े थे, लेकिन यश ने उनकी बजाय किशोर कुमार को पहले गुलदस्ता थमा दिया, ये देखकर किशोर दा नाराज हो गए और बोले ये आप क्या कर रहे हैं, पहले रफी साहब को आप ये गुलदस्ता दीजिए। लेकिन तब तक काफी देर गई थी और मोहम्मद रफी नाराज होकर स्टूडियो से बाहर निकल गए थे और इस तरह से यश चोपड़ा और सिंगर के बीच मतभेद पैदा हो गया था।
