रक्षा मंत्री के चैट लीक करने से अमेरिकी सैनिकों की जान खतरे में आई

कुछ माह पहले अमेरिकी रक्षा मंत्री ने सिग्नल एप पर एक गोपनीय ऑपरेशन की जानकारी साझा की थी, जो लीक हो गई थी। इसे लेकर ट्रंप सरकार निशाने पर आ गई थी। अब उसकी जांच रिपोर्ट में खुलासा हुआ है कि रक्षा मंत्री की चैट लीक होने से ऑपरेशन में लगे सैनिकों की जान खतरे में आ गई थी। हालांकि रिपोर्ट में रक्षा मंत्री पीट हेगसेथ को क्लीन चिट दे दी गई है और कहा गया है कि रक्षा मंत्री होने के नाते उनके पास गोपनीय जानकारी को सार्वजनिक करने का अधिकार है।

जांच रिपोर्ट सांसदों को सौंपी गई

क्या है पूरा मामला
इस साल मार्च में अमेरिका ने यमन में हूती विद्रोहियों पर बमबारी की थी। अमेरिका की अटलांटिक पत्रिका में खुलासा किया गया कि सिग्नल एप पर हुई एक चैट में रक्षा मंत्री पीट हेगसेथ ने हवाई हमले से जुड़ी जानकारी साझा की, जिसमें हमले का सटीक समय और हमले में शामिल हथियारों और मिसाइलों की जानकारी भी साझा की गई। इस चैट में गलती से अटलांटिक पत्रिका के संपादक जेफ्री गोल्डबर्ग भी जुड़े हुए थे, जिन्होंने बाद में इस पूरी चैट से जुड़ी जानकारी पत्रिका में प्रकाशित कर दी थी। इसे लेकर खूब हंगामा हुआ। अब जांच रिपोर्ट में बताया गया है कि ऑपरेशन से जुड़ी गोपनीय जानकारी पहले ही लीक होने से ऑपरेशन में शामिल सैनिकों और अधिकारियों की सुरक्षा खतरे में आई।
