To know the difference between Ego and Self-Respect is essential for personal growth & healthy relationships.

Ego is the sense of Self-Importance and Self-Centeredness. Its an over-estimation of one's abilities, achievements or status.

Self-respect is the recognition of one's own worth & dignity.  It's a respect one should have without being Self-Centered.

People with EGO have Superiority Complexes and always feel the need to dominate. They often disregard other's feelings or opinions.

People with SELF – RESPECT are more balanced. They value one-self and others equally, promoting mutual respect.

Ego - External (needs constant approval from others).

Self-Respect - Internal (self-approval and inner confidence).
