तमिलनाडु के मुख्यमंत्री सी. जोसेफ विजय ने मंगलवार को राज्य के किसानों के लिए एक बहुत बड़ी राहत का एलान किया है। सरकार ने सहकारी बैंकों से लिए गए फसल कर्ज को माफ करने की घोषणा की है। इस फैसले से राज्य के करीब 14.43 लाख किसानों को सीधा फायदा होगा। सरकार के इस कदम से राज्य के खजाने पर लगभग 6000 करोड़ रुपये का अतिरिक्त बोझ पड़ेगा, लेकिन इससे किसानों को बहुत बड़ी आर्थिक राहत मिलेगी
75,000 रुपये तक का कर्ज पूरा माफ
बता दें कि सीएम के इस एलान का फायदा ऐसे किसानों को मिलेगा, जिन्होंने 1 मई 2025 से 28 फरवरी 2026 के बीच सहकारी बैंकों से 75000 रुपये तक का फसल कर्ज लिया था। उनका पूरा कर्ज माफ कर दिया जाएगा। इसके अलावा जिन किसानों का कर्ज 75000 रुपये से ज्यादा है, उनके कर्ज में से 35000 रुपये माफ किए जाएंगे।
क्यों बदला गया फैसला?
दरअसल, पिछले महीने ही सरकार ने छोटे और सीमांत किसानों के लिए 50000 रुपये तक के कर्ज माफी की घोषणा की थी। लेकिन किसान संगठनों और किसानों की मांग के बाद मुख्यमंत्री ने मंत्रियों और वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के साथ एक समीक्षा बैठक की। इस बैठक के बाद पिछले फैसले को बदलते हुए राहत का दायरा और बढ़ा दिया गया है।
60 दिनों के भीतर मिलेगा फायदा
मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय की तरफ से दी गई जानकारी के अनुसार रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (आरबीआई) के नियमों के मुताबिक, कर्ज माफी की पूरी रकम सरकार को 45 से 60 दिनों के भीतर बैंकों को देनी होगी। सरकार ने कहा कि हालांकि इस समय राज्य की वित्तीय स्थिति (आर्थिक स्थिति) थोड़ी तंग है, इसके बावजूद किसानों की मुश्किलों को देखते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने इस संकट की घड़ी में भी लगभग 6000 करोड़ रुपये की कर्ज माफी को मंजूरी दी है।
