भारत के साथ रिश्ते सुधारना चाहता है कनाडा
अमेरिकी टैरिफ के बाद कनाडा के प्रधानमंत्री मार्क कार्नी ने अमेरिका पर अपनी निर्भरता कम करने के लिए एशिया-पैसिफिक क्षेत्र के देशों के साथ संबंध मजबूत करने की बात कही है। उन्होंने विशेष रूप से भारत के साथ बेहतर होते रिश्तों का जिक्र किया और बताया कि इंडोनेशिया, फिलीपींस, थाईलैंड और चीन जैसे देशों के साथ भी व्यापार समझौते पर बातचीत चल रही है। कार्नी का कहना है कि यह रातोंरात नहीं होगा।
अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनल्ड ट्रंप के टैरिफ के चाबुक से कनाडा भी नहीं बच सका है। ट्रंप ने पिछले हफ्ते कनाडा के साथ ट्रेड पर चल रही सभी बातचीत को रद कर दिया है। इसी बीच कनाडा के प्रधानमंत्री मार्क कार्नी का बड़ा बयान सामने आया है।
कनाडाई पीएम ने भारत के साथ रिश्ते सुधारने पर बात की है। उनका कहना है कि वो कई देशों के साथ नई साझेदारी की शुरुआक करेंगे और इसके लिए उनका ध्यान एशिया पैसिफिक क्षेत्र पर है।
एशिया पैसिफिक पर कनाडा की नजर
कनाडा के पीएम मार्क कार्नी के अनुसार, “दुनिया के कई देशों से संबंध मजबूत करना चाहते हैं और इसके लिए एशिया पैसिफिक से बेहतर जगह कोई नहीं हो सकती है। दुनिया की अर्थव्यवस्था का 60 प्रतिशत हिस्सा इसी क्षेत्र से आता है।”
कई देशों से चल रही बातचीत
दक्षिण कोरिया में आयोजित एशिया-पैसिफिक इकोनॉमिक कॉपरेशन (APEC) में शिरकत करने के बाद कनाडाई पीएम ने कहा कि वो इंडोनेशिया के साथ मुक्त व्यापार समझौता (Free Trade Agreement) पर चर्चा कर रहे हैं। इसके अलावा फिलिपींस, थाईलैंड और चीन के साथ भी बातचीत जारी है।
भारत का जिक्र करते हुए मार्क कार्नी ने कहा-
