हाईटेक होगा दून एयरपोर्ट: सुरक्षित उड़ान के लिए बनेगी नई आधुनिक एटीसी बिल्डिंग
देहरादून एयरपोर्ट पर विमानों के सुरक्षित संचालन को और बेहतर बनाने के लिए एक नई आधुनिक एटीसी (एयर ट्रैफिक कंट्रोल) बिल्डिंग का निर्माण किया जाएगा। वर्तमान बिल्डिंग के स्थान पर परिसर में ही अन्य उचित जगह बनने वाली इस नई बिल्डिंग में अत्याधुनिक उपकरण लगाए जाएंगे। इससे एटीसी की कार्यक्षमता बढ़ेगी और अधिकारी एक साथ अधिक विमानों को नियंत्रित कर सकेंगे।
नई ऑटोमेशन और आधुनिक सर्विलांस सुविधाओं से एयर स्पेस और एयरपोर्ट रनवे की क्षमता बढ़ेगी। आधुनिक सुविधाओं वाला नया एटीसी तैयार होने पर उसी एयरस्पेस में ज्यादा उड़ानों को नियंत्रित किया जा सकेगा। देहरादून एयरपोर्ट के आसपास का अधिकांश एयरस्पेस वायु सेना नियंत्रित करती है।
वर्तमान में देहरादून एयरपोर्ट पर प्रतिदिन 22 से 24 उड़ानें आवाजाही करती हैं। प्राइवेट विमान और हेलिकॉप्टरों की संख्या अलग है। नए एटीसी बिल्डिंग तैयार होने और उसमें नए आधुनिक उपकरण लगने से एयरपोर्ट की क्षमता बढ़ेगी, जिससे विमानों की आवाजाही और बेहतर तरीके से नियंत्रित की जा सकेगी।
400 करोड़ की लागत से बनाया गया बड़ा टर्मिनल
70 के दशक में बिरला द्वारा बनाई गई छोटी सी हवाई पट्टी को विकसित कर 2006-07 में देहरादून एयरपोर्ट का रूप दिया गया था। उस वक्त एटीसी, मौसम विभाग आदि की नई बिल्डिंग बनाई गई थी। तब टर्मिनल एक छोटे से भवन में संचालित किया जाता था।
2010 में करीब 30 करोड़ की लागत से नया टर्मिनल बनाया गया था। पैसेंजर बढ़ने के बाद करीब 400 करोड़ की लागत से बड़ा टर्मिनल बनाया गया। इसी टर्मिनल भवन में 2024 से एयरपोर्ट संचालित किया जा रहा है। इसकी क्षमता पीक ऑवर में 3240 पैसेंजर तक की है, जबकि पुराने टर्मिनल में सिर्फ डेढ़ सौ पैसेंजर ही हैंडल किए जा सकते थे।
देहरादून एयरपोर्ट पर नई एटीसी बिल्डिंग बनाई जानी प्रस्तावित है, जिसमें अत्याधुनिक उपकरण लगाए जाएंगे। इससे मौजूदा एयर स्पेस में ही और अधिक विमानों की आवाजाही सुनिश्चित की जा सकेगी। वहीं फ्लाइटों के संचालन में विलंब भी कम होगा। – भूपेश सीएच नेगी, एयरपोर्ट निदेशक
