इस सूचकांक में भारतीय शहरों की स्थिति निराशाजनक रही है और पिछले साल के मुकाबले इनमें कोई खास बदलाव नहीं देखा गया है। देश की राजधानी नई दिल्ली 120वें स्थान पर है, जिसके ठीक बाद मुंबई 121वें स्थान पर काबिज है।
इन दोनों ही शहरों की रैंकिंग पिछले वर्ष के समान ही रही है। वहीं, दक्षिण भारत के प्रमुख शहरों चेन्नई और बेंगलुरु को इस वैश्विक सूची में क्रमशः 123वां और 127वां स्थान प्राप्त हुआ है।
एशिया का बढ़ता दबदबा लेकिन यूरोप की स्थिरता
रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, पश्चिमी यूरोप अभी भी रहने के लिहाज से सबसे मजबूत क्षेत्र बना हुआ है, लेकिन इसके औसत स्कोर में अब एक ठहराव आ गया है। इसके विपरीत, एशिया के औसत स्कोर में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि देखी गई है।
