कर्ज में डूबी MTNL को लेकर सरकार का बड़ा फैसला
केंद्र सरकार कर्ज में डूबी सरकारी दूरसंचार कंपनी महानगर टेलीफोन निगम लिमिटेड (एमटीएनएल) की करीब 9,000 करोड़ रुपये की संपत्तियां वित्त वर्ष 2027-28 में बेचने की योजना बना रही है।
इस बिक्री से मिलने वाली राशि का इस्तेमाल कंपनी के कर्ज और देनदारियों को कम करने के लिए किया जाएगा।मामले से जुड़े आधिकारिक सूत्रों ने शुक्रवार को यह जानकारी दी।
एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि अगले वित्त वर्ष में एमटीएनएल की 9,000 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य की जमीन और अन्य संपत्तियों का मुद्रीकरण (मोनेटाइज) करने की योजना है।
सूत्रों के अनुसार, संपत्तियों के स्वामित्व से जुड़े कई विवादों को सुलझा लिया गया है। अब 40 ऐसी संपत्तियों की पहचान की गई है, जिनके दस्तावेज स्पष्ट हैं और जिन्हें बिक्री के लिए पेश किया जाएगा।
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, एमटीएनएल पर कुल करीब 50,000 करोड़ रुपये की देनदारियां और कर्ज हैं। इसमें लगभग 30,000 करोड़ रुपये के सावरेन गारंटी बांड भी शामिल हैं।
सरकार का मानना है कि कंपनी के पास इन देनदारियों का भुगतान करने के लिए पर्याप्त संपत्ति आधार मौजूद है। सूत्रों ने बताया कि फिलहाल एमटीएनएल अपने कर्मचारियों को मुख्य रूप से संपत्तियों से मिलने वाले किराये की आय से वेतन दे रही है।
