दिवाली के त्योहार पर मिठाइयों का चलन है, जिनमें डिब्बाबंद रसगुल्ले (Canned Rasgulla) भी शामिल हैं। केसी दास हलवाई, कोलकाता के एक पुराने मिठाई विक्रेता, ने 1930 में पहली बार टिन के डिब्बे में रसगुल्ले पैक किए थे। कृष्ण चंद्र दास, जिन्हें केसी दास कहा जाता था, को इसका जनक माना जाता है। रसगुल्ला वैश्विक बाजार में पहुंचने वाली पहली डिब्बाबंद भारतीय मिठाई थी।

कोलकाता में एक बहुत पुरानी हलवाई की दुकान है। ये हैं केसी दास हलवाई, जो देश के सबसे पुराने मिठाई कारोबारियों में से एक हैं। उनका कारोबार सन 1866 में शुरू हुआ था। बता दें कि केसी दास ने ही 95 साल पहले सन 1930 में सबसे पहले कैन यानी टिन धातु में पैक रसगुल्ले का तैयार किया।
कृष्ण चंद्र दास का था आइडिया
सन 1930 में केसी दास के मालिक कृष्ण चंद्र दास थे। उन्हीं को केसी दास कहा जाता था और उन्हीं को कैन पैक रसगुल्ला और रसमलाई का जनक भी कहा जाता है। जहां उनके मिठाई का कारोबार शुरू करने की बात है तो वो उनके पिता नोबिन चंद्र ने शुरू किया था। आज के समय में केसी दास मिठाई के बिजनेस में एक बड़ा नाम है।
ग्लोबल मार्केट में पहली डिब्बाबंद भारतीय मिठाई
बता दें कि रसगुल्ला ग्लोबल मार्केट में पहुंचने वाली पहली डिब्बाबंद भारतीय मिठाई भी रही है। इसका श्रेय भी केसी दास को ही जाता है।

केसी दास की वेबसाइट के अनुसार 900 ग्राम का 20 पीस के कैन्ड रसगुल्ले का डिब्बा 259 रुपये का है। 900 ग्राम का 20 पीस के कैन्ड कालाजामुन का डिब्बा भी 259 रुपये का ही है। इतने ही पीस और वजन वाला गुलाब जामुन का डिब्बा भी इतने रुपये का ही है।
थाली भी बेचती है केसी दास
केसी दाल मिठाइयों के अलावा थाली भी बेचती है। इनमें मोहाभोज थाली 299 रुपये और तृप्ति भोज थाली 191 रुपये की है।
