आज के समय में जो भी नौकरी करता है चाहे प्राइवेट या फिर सरकारी सभी का कुछ न कुछ पैसा पेंशन और रिटायरमेंट के लिए कटता है। अगर आप प्राइवेट कर्मचारी हैं तो यह पैसा आपका पीएफ (PF) के रूप में कटता होगा। लेकिन अगर आप एक सरकार कर्मचारी हैं वो भी 2004 से पहले के तो आपका न तो पीएफ कटता होगा और न ही एनपीएस (NPS) या फिर यूपीएस (UPS) कटता होगा। क्योंकि 2004 के बाद से भर्ती होने वाले कर्मचारियों के लिए ओल्ड पेंशन स्कीम को समाप्त कर दिया गया था। और न्यू पेंशन स्कीम पेश की गई थी। वहीं, अब UPS भी ला दिया गया है, जो कुछ हद तक ओल्ड पेंशन स्कीम की ही तरह है।
आज हम आपको पीएफ से इतर सरकारी कर्मचारियों के जीपीएफ (GPF) के बारे में बताएंगे। क्योंकि सरकारी कर्मचारियों का पीएफ की जगह GPF कटता है। आइए इस लेख में जानते हैं कि जीपीएफ किसका कटता है और सरकार इस पर कितना ब्याज देती है और पीएफ से कितना अलग है।
क्या है EPF और GPF?
ईपीएफ और जीपीएफ एक तरह की कर्मचारियों के लिए सेविंग प्लान है। रिटायरमेंट आते-आते इसके जरिए आपके पास एक बड़ा फंड तैयार होता। अगर आप एक प्राइवेट कर्मचारी हैं तो आपका पीएफ कटता है। वहीं, अगर आप 2004 के पहले के सरकारी कर्मचारी हैं तो आपका जीपीएफ कट रहा होगा।
एम्प्लॉयीज प्रोविडेंट फंड एक्ट (EPF) के अनुसार, आपका योगदान आपकी सैलरी और महंगाई भत्ते का 12% तक सीमित है। जबकि आपके एम्प्लॉयर को भी इस 12% योगदान का मिलान करना होता है, इस राशि का 8.33% एम्प्लॉई पेंशन स्कीम में जाता है, और बाकी 3.67% आपके PF अकाउंट में जाता है। PF आपके CTC (कॉस्ट टू कंपनी) का एक हिस्सा है और रिटायरमेंट के बाद मिलने वाले फायदों को सुनिश्चित करने में मदद करता है।
