अमेरिका में सड़कों को गड्ढामुक्त करने के लिए आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (एआइ) का इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है। एआइ के जरिये न केवल सड़कों के गड्ढों को चिह्नित किया जा रहा है, बल्कि तकनीक ही तय करती है कि किन गड्ढों को पहले भरा जाना है, कहां गार्डरेल ठीक होनी है, कहां साइनबोर्ड दुरुस्त होने हैं और किस मोड़ पर चेतावनी बोर्ड लगाए जाने हैं।
ये कैमरे संबंधित विभाग को सूचना भेजते हैं और मरम्मत टीम मौके पर जाकर चीजें ठीक करती है। भारत में भी इससे प्रेरणा लेकर सड़कों को यातायात के लिए सुरक्षित बनाया जा सकता है। अमेरिका के हवाई राज्य के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि सड़क हादसों में कमी लाने के लिए 1000 डैशबोर्ड कैमरे लगाए गए हैं।
AI की किस तरह ली जा रही मदद
ये कैमरे एआइ के इस्तेमाल से सड़कों के किनारे लगे गार्डरेल, सड़क चिह्नों और पैदल मार्ग की मार्किंग का स्वचालित निरीक्षण करते हैं और आपात स्थितियों का आकलन करके मरम्मत कार्य दल को वारंट भेजते हैं। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि ये काम दैनिक आधार पर किया जाता है। कैलिफोर्निया के सैन जो इलाके में सड़कों पर लगे कैमरों के बारे में स्वीपर और सिटी स्टाफ ने बताया कि इस प्रणाली ने 97 प्रतिशत तक सही जानकारी दी।
अब इस प्रयास को आगे बढ़ाया जा रहा है। टेक्सास राज्य में सड़कों की हालत का पता लगाने में आम लोगों की भी मदद ली जा रही है। स्वयंसेवी ड्राइवरों की गाडि़यों में लगे कैमरों के साथ-साथ मोबाइल फोन डेटा के इस्तेमाल से खराब सड़कों का पता लगाकर उसे ठीक किया जा रहा है। हवाई राज्य में 2021 से ही सड़क सुरक्षा के लिए ‘आइज आन द रोड’ अभियान चलाया जा रहा था, जिसमें तमाम गाडि़यों में 499 डालर के डैशकैम फ्री में लगाए गए।
इस काम में हवाई यूनिवर्सिटी के इंजीनियरिंग विभाग के प्रोफेसर रोजर चेन ने भी सहयोग किया। उन्होंने पुराने पड़ चुके सड़क ढांचे में सुधार के लिए कार्यक्रम तैयार किए। सैन जो के मेयर मैट महन ने सड़कों की बेहतरी के लिए दो स्टार्टअप भी शुरू किए हैं।
आने वाले दिनों में बढ़ेगा AI का महत्व
उन्होंने कहा कि उनके एआइ डेटाबेस में शहर की खस्ताहाल सड़कों की तस्वीरें साझा की जाएं तो बड़े पैमाने पर सुधार कार्यक्रम चलाया जा सकता है। एआइ आधारित सड़क सुरक्षा तकनीक से जुड़े विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि आनेवाले वर्षों में लगभग सभी गाडि़यों में कैमरे लग जाएंगे, जिनसे सड़कों की स्थिति बेहतर की जा सकेगी, गड्ढे खत्म किए जा सकेंगे, साइनबोर्ड दुरुस्त रहेंगे और यातायात के लिए सड़कें और भी ज्यादा सुरक्षित हो जाएंगी।
