पश्चिम एशिया संकट: जंग के बीच 2.44 लाख भारतीय लौटे
पश्चिम एशिया में बढ़ते संघर्ष के बीच केंद्र सरकार ने मंगलवार को जानकारी दी कि 28 फरवरी से अब तक लगभग 2.44 लाख भारतीय नागरिक इस क्षेत्र से लौट चुके हैं।
विदेश मंत्रालय में अतिरिक्त सचिव (खाड़ी) असीम आर महाजन ने बताया कि इस संघर्ष में अब तक पांच भारतीयों की मृत्यु हुई है, जबकि एक व्यक्ति लापता है।
महाजन ने बताया कि हाल ही में ओमान के सोहार शहर में मारे गए दो भारतीयों के पार्थिव शरीर मंगलवार को भारत लाए गए और जयपुर में उनके परिजनों को सौंप दिए गए।
उन्होंने बताया कि भारतीय मिशन चौबीसों घंटे काम कर रहे हैं और 16 मार्च को संयुक्त अरब अमीरात से लगभग 65 उड़ानें संचालित हुईं।
विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता रणधीर जायसवाल ने कहा- ‘कल मैंने बताया था कि छात्रों समेत लगभग 650 भारतीय नागरिक ईरान से आर्मेनिया और अजरबैजान पहुंचे थे ताकि वहां से स्वदेश लौट सकें। अब लगभग 50 और भारतीय आर्मेनिया पहुंचे हैं तथा कुछ अन्य अजरबैजान गए हैं।’
विदेश मंत्रालय ने कहा कि उसका नियंत्रण कक्ष पूरी तरह सक्रिय है और भारतीय नागरिकों की सहायता कर रहा है।
जायसवाल ने कहा कि संघर्ष के दौरान भारत का रुख संवाद और कूटनीति का रहा है। उन्होंने सभी देशों से संयम बरतने की अपील की है।
